Bail granted to main accused in vehicle reflector fake certificate and fraud case

Akola: A gang was busted for looting the transport department of crores of rupees by duping a government-appointed company by forging necessary certificates for installation of critical quality reflectors for passing new heavy vehicles. In this crime no. 111/2023 Bh. D. Vs. The accused was arrested by Shahr Kotwali Police Station from Solapur after registering an offense under Sections 419, 420, 468 and 66 (d) of the Information Technology Act 2000. After the court granted police custody, the accused was sent to judicial custody. Today, the Chief Judicial Magistrate Akola court approved the bail application of the main accused. Advocate Ramesh Kumar Pinjomal Ramnani represented the accused in the court, supported by Advocate Nitin Subhash Mahalle, Advocate Niraj Bhikusing Rajput.

A large gang in Solapur was busted for defrauding a government-appointed company and defrauding the transport department of crores of revenue by forging certificates required for installation of high-quality reflectors, which are important for the safety of passing new heavy vehicles. City Kotwali police arrested the ringleader in the case and produced him in the court. After this, the accused was sent to Tarunga. M/s Advantech Associates LLP has been appointed as a company to install reflectors on the new heavy vehicles as per the rules of the transport department and then issue the certificate. However, the accused in Solapur had created another website parallel to this company and started installing reflectors by creating bogus certificates. After this incident came to notice, the police registered a case and arrested the accused. When the City Kotwali Police started investigation by registering a case under Section 419, 420, 408 of the Indian Penal Code, Akshay created a site and created a fake certificate based on it and started manipulation in the name of installing high-quality reflective tips i.e. reflectors. Through this, information had come to light that he had cheated the related company by cheating the government to the tune of crores of rupees. After that the accused was arrested by the City Kotwali police
